A reasonable mig welder with a minimum of 250 amps.

How much preparation is required?

As with all welding, material being hard-faced should be clean of rust, paint and any other contaminants.

How much ‘extra life’ can be expected?

Depending on the component being hard-faced anything from two to eight times the life.

How much does it cost?

Approximately NZ$1.25 per 1/2” square.
